Event Details
Tour of Art is a week-long juried art exhibition and sale that takes place twice annually. The event is produced by Main Street Newton in cooperation with Newton’s Spring Street merchants. Regional artists are selected and matched with local businesses that host the artwork. Each tour kicks off on a Second Saturday with a full-day artist reception open to the public. All artwork is on display for one week with a portion of all sales benefitting the host venue and Main Street Newton. Artists and hosts have declared previous tours highly successful, with approximately 400 visitors during Second Saturday and through the following week. This signature event is now in its third year.
To apply as a participating artist,
1. Submit the $25.00 fee and complete the application questions that appear on the following pages. Application period closes May 1, 2010 (extended).
2. Submit representation of your work.
3. Submit advertising artwork to lhirsch@scahc.org. Ads are business-card sized (3-3/8"x2-7/8"). Deadline for advertising is April 21, 2010.
